Latücht - Film & Medien e.V. | Program & Tickets

Latücht - Film & Medien e.V. is in Neubrandenburg much more than just a cinema. The venue combines arthouse cinema, media education, festival work, and rental to create a cultural place with a clear identity and a long history. Those looking for Latücht usually want to find not just an address but to understand what makes this place special: a listed building with ecclesiastical roots, a vibrant club profile, and a program that moves between film art, education, and encounters. The association's website clearly shows this mix. On the homepage, cinema, media education, and dokumentART stand side by side equally, and the club's history visibly shows how consistently the house has developed from a sacred building to a cultural center. At the same time, the location page points to the main event venue at Große Krauthöferstraße 16 and mentions sufficient parking nearby as well as barrier-free access and a wheelchair-accessible restroom. So, anyone looking for orientation, photos, programs, or tickets will find in Latücht a place that answers practical questions and cultural curiosity alike. Program, Cinema, and Current Film Series

The strongest search interest around Latücht clearly revolves around the program. This is where the special role of the house as an arthouse cinema in Neubrandenburg becomes evident. On the cinema page, the association describes Latücht as a place where film art meets coziness and where almost daily film screenings, premieres, and special events take place. The homepage continues this mix and shows current event tips ranging from the youth media festival to individual film evenings to special dates. Thus, Latücht is not a standard cinema with a purely mainstream focus, but a place for curated film culture that appeals to a wide range of target groups. Particularly striking is the variety of series: classic cinema dates, thematic film evenings, discussion formats, and festival references intertwine. This creates appeal for people who are specifically looking for a schedule, an evening with film and discussion, or an extraordinary cultural date. The search phrase gourmet and film fits very well here as the official event series combines cinema with culinary experiences and has shown several editions in the house in 2025 and 2026. This way, Latücht not only answers the question of what is currently showing but also what kind of cinema is fundamentally cultivated here: personal, thematic, curious, and with a strong connection to European film culture. ([latuecht.de](https://www.latuecht.de/seite/748458/kino.html))

Festival and special formats are also central to the profile of the house. The dokumentART is organized by Latücht itself and is described as a European film festival that showcases films from all over Europe while focusing on future issues. An official festival page mentions debuts as well as award-winning works and highlights the mix of competition, regional productions, children's and youth programs, and exchanges with film schools. This shows why so many search queries arise not only for tickets but also for terms like dokumentART, film festival, or gourmet & film. At Latücht, cinema is conceived as a cultural event, not just a mere screening. For visitors, this means a pleasantly wide selection: those who want to see current arthouse films will find them just as much as those interested in debates, thematic series, or special collaborations. The association also uses the venue for its own events and refers to the cinema as a stage for thematic evenings where film and social issues come together. This is a crucial SEO aspect, as the search intention behind many queries is not only informative but experience-oriented: people want to know what Latücht offers today, why the series is special, and why this cultural venue has a fixed place in Neubrandenburg. Tickets, Reservations, and Prices

Those looking for tickets ideally need clear answers immediately, and exactly this is what Latücht provides on its ticket page. Reservations are possible on-site, by phone, or by email from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00. This is convenient for regular guests as well as for spontaneous visitors who want to quickly check if seats are available before an evening event. It is also important to note that pre-ordered tickets must be picked up at the box office no later than 30 minutes before the start of the performance. This is relevant for search behavior because many users just want to quickly know how to get tickets and when they should be on-site. The price structure is also transparent: a regular ticket costs 8.50 euros, reduced 6.50 euros. For films longer than 110 minutes, the prices are 9.00 euros or 7.00 euros reduced; for films longer than 130 minutes, they are 9.50 euros or 7.50 euros reduced. These are precise, useful pieces of information that fit directly into search results and FAQs because they answer the most common questions about the visit process. At the same time, the price scale shows that the house calculates longer films fairly without making access unnecessarily complicated. For guests, this is pleasantly planable and valuable for the SEO strategy because ticket and price questions are among the most common conversion-related search queries. ([latuecht.de](https://www.latuecht.de/seite/755489/tickets.html?utm_source=openai))

However, the ticket topic at Latücht includes not only prices but also the specific process on-site. The cinema page states that entry and box office usually open at 18:30 and that events normally start at 19:30, except for special programs. Additionally, the cinema bar opens one hour before the event begins. This creates exactly the kind of visitor experience that many users associate with terms like tickets, box office, or program: arriving on time, relaxing with a drink, and not starting the evening in a rush. Another important point is the minimum number of visitors of five people, which is mentioned on the cinema page. This note is particularly relevant for very quiet days or spontaneous individual visits and shows that the house operates economically consciously. Together with the price information, this creates a realistic picture: Latücht is a cozy arthouse cinema with clear processes, easily understandable conditions, and communication that does not leave visitors in the dark. For SEO, this is ideal because the search intention for tickets is not only about purchase but also about planning, opening hours, and reservations. So, anyone searching for Latücht tickets not only gets the price but the whole visit scenario. ([latuecht.de](https://www.latuecht.de/seite/748458/kino.html))

Directions, Parking, and Barrier-Free Access

The address of Latücht is clear: Große Krauthöferstraße 16 in 17033 Neubrandenburg. The location page of the association explicitly names the main event location as Kino Latücht, that is, the former church building, and adds that there are sufficient parking spaces nearby. This combination of a clear address, inner-city location, and available parking options is crucial for search queries related to directions and parking. Because anyone visiting the location usually wants to know immediately how convenient the journey is, whether they can park nearby directly, and whether the visit can be easily combined with an evening event. The city of Neubrandenburg has mentioned several alternative parking spaces in a press release regarding inner-city parking options, including the Pferdemarkt parking garage, the Stadtringtreff underground garage, the Große Krauthöferstraße parking lot, the Marktplatz-Center underground garage, and the Am Stargarder Tor parking lot. This is helpful for visitors because it provides a realistic picture of the local parking landscape and shows that Latücht is embedded in a network of publicly usable parking spaces. Thus, a simple address search quickly turns into concrete visit planning that can be well utilized for evening performances, festivals, and special events. ([latuecht.de](https://www.latuecht.de/seite/748238/standorte.html))

For practical access, barrier-free access is also part of Latücht. The location page mentions wheelchair-accessible access and a wheelchair-accessible restroom, and the ticket page adds that the house is barrier-free. Additionally, companions of severely disabled persons with the H mark receive free admission. This information is important not only for affected visitors but also for families, groups, and organizers looking for a well-accessible cultural venue. Especially in cinemas and event spaces, barrier-free access is a strong signal of trust because it shows that the house considers the visit not only aesthetically but also organizationally. For SEO relevance, this means: Those searching for barrier-free cinema, wheelchair-accessible access, or parking at Latücht find a clear answer here. Practically speaking, the house is designed for short distances and understandable orientation. The official information makes it clear that visitors with mobility restrictions, reservations, or car travel do not have to improvise but receive reliable information. This is a real added value in cultural everyday life and strengthens the perception of Latücht as an open house for many target groups. ([latuecht.de](https://www.latuecht.de/seite/748238/standorte.html))

History of the House and Club History

The history of Latücht is one of the strongest reasons why the place is, from an SEO perspective, so much more than a local cinema. The official club history shows a long transformation that began in 1905 with the acquisition of the property for a Catholic church. Construction started in 1906, and the church was consecrated as St. Joseph Church in 1907. Later renovations, additions, and changes in use further shaped the building until the Catholic community abandoned the church as a place of worship after 1976. The fact that the demolition in favor of a road expansion could be prevented is an important turning point because without this decision, the house in its current form would probably not exist. In the years that followed, it initially served as a workshop and props storage for the theater before the city decided in 1991 to convert it into a multicultural center. For visitors, it is particularly exciting that the name Latücht refers to a lantern in Low German and symbolizes a cultural beacon. This symbolism fits remarkably well with the current function of the house. It is not just an event space but a place that makes history visible while also conveying contemporary culture. This connection makes the location unmistakable compared to many modern new buildings. ([latuecht.de](https://www.latuecht.de/seite/748325/vereinsgeschichte.html))

The further development confirms this character. In 1994, the association opened an open media workshop to enable all citizens access to modern media technology and education. In 1996, Latücht found its home in the former St. Joseph Church; the city had renovated the building and handed it over to the association for use. The association took over the operation of a municipal cinema with a media workshop, and the house became a venue for dokumentART and the Neubrandenburger Youth Media Festival. Between 2009 and 2020, management and marketing were handled by the city-owned event center Neubrandenburg GmbH, which limited the association's ability to offer cultural programs. Since 2021, the building has been back in the hands of the association and serves again as a venue for a diverse film program, thematic series, discussions with filmmakers, and the annual festivals. Today, according to official representation, six permanent employees and around 250 members support the house. This is crucial for the perception of Latücht: Here, there is no anonymous operator but an active cultural association with historical responsibility and local commitment. This is exactly why Latücht works so well as a search term for history, cultural venue, and club work at the same time. ([latuecht.de](https://www.latuecht.de/seite/748325/vereinsgeschichte.html))

Media Education, dokumentART, and Youth Media Festival

A central unique feature of Latücht is media education. The media workshop of the house is described on the website as a modern and diverse educational offering in the field of analog and digital media. It explicitly focuses on media competence, meaning not only technical skills but also the reflective understanding and contextualization of media content. The work is aimed at different population groups, is as close as possible to the participants' living environment, and is open to topic requests from partners. This includes subject-related media projects that can integrate learning objectives into subjects. Practical media criticism, especially in dealing with social media, is also particularly emphasized. This makes the media workshop a relevant search topic for schools, projects, parents, associations, and institutions in the region. Those searching for media workshop, media education, or educational offerings in Neubrandenburg will find here a concrete, socially relevant place where culture and education converge. In other words: Latücht is not just a place to watch but also to learn, experiment, and co-create. This connection is enormously important for search intention because it clearly distinguishes the cultural venue from mere leisure offerings. ([latuecht.de](https://www.latuecht.de/seite/748426/medienwerkstatt.html))

DokumentART and the Youth Media Festival particularly shape the profile of the house. The dokumentART is organized by Latücht itself and is described as a European film festival that showcases films from all over Europe while focusing on future issues socially, politically, and personally. The official festival description mentions competition films, short and medium-length films, regional productions from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, including programs for children and young people, as well as a film school exchange. The Youth Media Festival, in turn, is anchored on the website as an annual highlight; the 31st edition will take place in 2026, with competitions like The Big Clap and Video Makes School. The festival work clearly shows that Latücht is a place where young and experienced film culture, regional scenes, and European perspectives come together. For visitors, this means a high density of programs and a strong content identity. For SEO planning, this is equally important because search terms like dokumentART, Youth Media Festival, media education, or film festival do not stand alone but reflect the actual usage spectrum of the house. So, anyone searching for Latücht often looks for exactly this mix of cinema, education, and festival encounters. ([latuecht.de](https://www.latuecht.de/veranstaltungen/2747420/2025/10/07/dokumentart--films-future.html?utm_source=openai))

Event Space, Hall, and Rental

As an event venue, Latücht is also very clearly positioned. The page about the event space describes a beautiful hall with lead glass windows and up to 100 seats. Additionally, there is a bright glass foyer with access to a lovingly maintained garden, giving the house an atmosphere that lies between historical substance and inviting openness. This is particularly relevant for search queries about photos, hall, room, or rental because visitors often want to understand not only the capacity but also the feeling of the place. The short overview also mentions a small bar and a café in the foyer with about 25 seats, a courtyard with grilling options, and variable seating in the cinema hall. This creates flexibility for very different occasions, from private parties to professional events. The mix of listed architecture and practical usability is a real advantage when looking for a space that does not feel generic but has character. This is why Latücht is not only interesting as a cinema but also as a location for company celebrations, workshops, seminars, or cultural encounters. In external perception, this is a strong signal: atmosphere is not just claimed here but created through space, light, and use. ([latuecht.de](https://www.latuecht.de/seite/748407/veranstaltungsraum.html?browser=1))

The technical equipment sensibly complements this impression and makes the space particularly versatile for events. Officially mentioned are DCP, video, and DVD projection devices, professional sound and lighting technology, modern projection technology for multimedia presentations, options for TV insertions and internet connection, as well as sound technology for conferences, meetings, and concerts. This is a real advantage for organizers because it allows not only film evenings but also hybrid formats, lectures, and musical programs to be realized. The rental page explicitly mentions birthdays, wedding celebrations, company anniversaries, conferences, seminars, and workshops as possible occasions. Thus, Latücht is a very versatile cultural and event venue that combines emotional character with professional usability. For search queries about photos, it is also interesting that the website uses images of the building, the outdoor area, and the technology, providing a good first impression of the house. Together with the barrier-free accessibility and nearby parking options, a coherent overall picture emerges: Latücht is a location with history, atmosphere, and practical usability at the same time. Those looking for a special place in Neubrandenburg will find here a space that not only shows culture but makes it spatially tangible. A beautiful cinema! Yesterday was a successful and lovely evening! Ticket reservation by phone was easy, the box office was friendly, and the sales staff were helpful and kind! A lovingly restored and well-maintained venue! The only downside! "No accessible restroom!" Otherwise, everything was top-notch!

Small. Nice. The audience is coming together.

A small, cozy art house cinema. The visit as part of a school project day was absolutely convincing.
